The story
We are working on a new coffee, and it will be our most fruit-forward yet. Hue Ember is a 100% Arabica from A Lưới, in the hills west of Huế in central Vietnam, grown at 1400–1600 m.
What it tastes like
Peach, honey and a tangy sweetness, with a silky mouthfeel, balanced acidity and a bright finish. It is roasted medium, so the fruit stays at the front.
It grows higher than any coffee in our range so far: our Hanoi Haze comes from 1200–1300 m in Lai Châu. At that height, cooler nights slow the ripening of the coffee cherries, which tends to give a brighter, sweeter cup.

How to brew it
- Pour-over or V60, to bring out the fruit
- Espresso
- Cold brew
When?
We don’t have a date or a price yet, and we would rather not guess. We will announce both here as soon as it is ready.
Until then, if you like a bright Arabica, Hanoi Haze is the closest thing in our range.
Our coffees
Three single origins from Vietnam, roasted for the phin filter.
