Every Review Here Is Real
We do not have many reviews. Every one of them was written by somebody who actually bought the coffee, and we would rather keep it that way.
If you scroll to the reviews on one of our products, you will not find many. We thought about that for a while, because a short list of reviews is a real disadvantage when you are asking somebody to pre-order coffee from a brand they have never heard of. Then we decided we would rather explain the short list than pad it.
Where Our Reviews Come From
Every review on this site is collected through Judge.me and comes from an order that actually exists. Each one carries a Verified badge next to the name, and that badge is not decoration — it means the review is tied to a real purchase in our system. You can see it on every review we have.
Nobody at PHIN has written a review of PHIN. Not under our own names, not under anyone else's.
Reviews can be purchased in bulk for very little money. We have never done it and we are not going to.
If somebody tells us the coffee was not for them, that stays up. A wall of five stars with nothing else on it is not trustworthy, it is just tidy.
Why There Are So Few
We started in January 2025 and we are three people. Most of our range is currently on pre-order, which means a lot of people are waiting rather than drinking. We only ask for a review after somebody has actually received their coffee and had time to brew it — which, given how our batches arrive, is a slower process than we would like.
So the number is small. It will grow the ordinary way: one person at a time, after they have tasted something.
A small honest number
It would take an afternoon and a modest amount of money to turn our handful of reviews into a few hundred. Nobody would obviously notice. We know that, and it is exactly why we are writing this down — a promise is easier to keep once it is public. If you ever find a review here that does not read like a real person, tell us, and we will explain it or remove it.
If You Have Bought From Us
Please say what you actually think, including if it was not what you hoped for. Vietnamese coffee is stronger and darker than a lot of people expect, and somebody writing that honestly is more useful to the next reader than another five stars.
And if you write in German or French, write in German or French. One of our favourite reviews is in German, and it says more in one sentence than we manage in a paragraph.
