We Hear You on Delivery

Waiting longer than you should for your coffee is the thing you tell us most often. Here is where we actually are.

Update, October 2026

The shipment we were waiting for arrived on 29 September. All three coffees, in every size and grind, the Starter Set Premium and the PHINOI phin filter are now in stock and ship as normal orders, with Swiss Post in 2–3 working days. The pre-order dates mentioned below no longer apply.

Some of you have waited longer for an order than we would have liked. You have written to tell us so, politely, and you were right to. We would rather explain what is actually happening than quietly hope you do not notice.

Why It Takes Time

PHIN is small. We started in January 2025, and there are three of us. Our coffee is grown and roasted in Vietnam and comes to Winterthur in batches — not continuously, and not on demand.

That works well right up until a batch runs out. When it does, the next order waits for the next shipment rather than for a shelf. That is why most of our range currently shows as pre-order instead of in stock: we would rather tell you a date than take your money and go quiet.

Roasted in Vietnam

Our coffee comes from where it grows. That is the whole point of PHIN, and it is also the reason a bag cannot simply be reprinted on a Tuesday.

Shipped in batches

Freight moves in consignments, not parcels. A batch covers months of orders — until demand runs ahead of it.

Three of us

No warehouse team, no fulfilment centre. When something slips, it slips on people who are also doing everything else.

What we are working on

The honest answer is that we are working on holding stock closer to you, so that ordering does not mean waiting on a shipment from the other side of the world. We are also working towards making PHIN available through Galaxus. Neither of those is finished, so we are not going to give you a date for either — we have learned that a date we cannot keep is worse than no date at all.

What We Will Do Meanwhile

Every pre-order item on the site carries the date we currently expect it. If that date moves, we would rather tell you than let you find out by waiting. And if an order of yours is running late, write to us and we will tell you exactly where it is.

Thank you for your patience, and more than that, for telling us. A brand this size only finds out what is broken because someone takes the time to say so.
